Kojima Haruna to play as “Kogarashi Masumi” in Aoi Honoo (Blue Flame) this Summer, July 2014.

Aoi Honoo (Blue Flame) is a coming-of-age manga series by Shimamoto Kazuhiko. The drama is to be directed by Fukuda Yuuichi, who is most popularly known for his work on Tokyo DOGS.

Let’s try this again: Notice to the Public.

As of yesterday, June 26, 2014, I’ve turned my fanfic blog http://satsunyan.wordpress.com/ into a private, invite-only blog. If you would like to view it, PM me (ask or fanmail or DM in twitter) your email and I will invite you.

I have recently received a “request to view your blog” I will not honor these. Please follow the instruction and take time to message me your email.

At this point, I entirely don’t care if I get daily hits or views or whatever shit it is. It is fact that most of this fandom has pissed me off to the point of me deleting all of my stories from jphip, once.

Second, I passworded my fc2 blog to limit people who reads my new stories. But after about 6 months I started to feel gallant and opened a wordpress for everyone to publicly see my stories.

But if I don’t update, I don’t, if I can’t update, I can’t. I haven’t entirely changed fandoms, I still like AtsuMina and KojiYuu, I still get random ideas for them to write, but the muse is not there.

Don’t pester me for updates, you will most likely not get them if you do.

If and only if any of you manages to piss me off again, say good bye to your stories.

I’m really happy you guys take the time to read whatever shit/crap I write and put out there, but please do mindful that (1) I do not get paid (2) I do not have all the time in the world to write fanfics for you guys (3) You have no right to demand for an update because (4) you do not feed me.

You can ask but as one human to another, please be polite about it. I’ve done my did. AKB48 is a such a good group,

ah but the people in the fandom is finding a great way for me to hate it and leave. That’s going to be sad

Leaving the fandom because the fans are overbearing, that is.

Courtenay McKay created a series of posters for the Gender Based Violence Prevention Project (GBVPP) at the University of Alberta to spread awareness about rape culture.

The Gender Based Violence Prevention Project is a new project of the Students’ Union that promotes a campus free of gender based violence. Gender Based Violence exists in both visible and invisible ways on our campus and affects the lives of many University students, staff, faculty, and community members. Through education, awareness, and institutional change, we are striving to create a campus free of gender based violence where everyone can feel safe and supported.”

I’ve seen this image going around, and I feel compelled to point out that it’s only half-right. It’s true that high heels were originally a masculine fashion, but they weren’t originally worn by butchers - nor for any other utilitarian purpose, for that matter.
High heels were worn by men for exactly the same reason they’re worn by women today: to display one’s legs to best effect. Until quite recently, shapely, well-toned calves and thighs were regarded as an absolute prerequisite for male attractiveness. That’s why you see so many paintings of famous men framed to show off their legs - like this one of George Washington displaying his fantastic calves:

… or this one of Louis XIV of France rocking a fabulous pair of red platform heels (check out those thighs!):

… or even this one of Charles I of England showing off his high-heeled riding boots - note, again, the visual emphasis on his well-formed calves:

In summary: were high heels originally worn by men? Yes. Were they worn to keep blood off their feet? No at all - they were worn for the same reason they’re worn today: to look fabulous.

so then how did they become a solo feminine item of attire?

A variety of reasons. In France, for example, high heels fell out out of favour in the court of Napoleon due to their association with aristocratic decadence, while in England, the more conservative fashions of the Victorian era regarded it as indecent for a man to openly display his calves.
But then, fashions come and go. The real question is why heels never came back into fashion for men - and that can be laid squarely at the feet of institutionalised homophobia. Essentially, heels for men were never revived because, by the early 20th Century, sexually provocative attire for men had come to be associated with homosexuality; the resulting moral panic ushered in an era of drab, blocky, fully concealing menswear in which a well-turned calf simply had no place - a setback from which men’s fashion has yet to fully recover.
